2022
Founding of Neonwerk GmbH
The vision became reality! We founded Neonwerk with the mission of producing high-quality, custom-designed signs. However, it took another six months before the first neon signs were sold. During this time, we took care of all legal matters and built a strong online presence – because from the very beginning, we wanted to impress at the highest level.
2023
Expansion & first major projects
The first neon signs reached our customers – and our growth took off. A milestone was the contract for a food stand at the OpenAir Frauenfeld. Shortly thereafter, we were contacted by Migros, our first major regular customer.
Neonwerk continued its rapid growth in 2023. Companies like the ZHAW (University of Applied Sciences and Arts), the Four Seasons Geneva, and Smile Insurance placed their trust in us. With each project, we expanded our portfolio and perfected our signs.
2024
Growth without limits
The hype surrounding Neonwerk continued – we reached new heights in 2024. With clients like UBS, Globus, SIX, Kilian Paris, and Art Basel, we realized unique projects and transformed creative visions into luminous works of art.
Our highlight: Micasa at Milan Design Week 2024. For the Sole collection with SULA, we crafted meter-long neon tubes that hung impressively from the ceiling. A logistical and production-technical challenge—but precisely these challenges drive us.
2025
A new home for Neonwerk
Like every great story, ours began in a garage. But in January 2025, the next step followed: our first office with a showroom in St. Gallen. We were finally able to welcome customers in person and present our signs in an inspiring environment.
Our product range also grew – in addition to neon signs, we added letter signs, nature signs, and box signs. New manufacturing techniques opened up even more creative possibilities for us and our customers, and this is just the beginning.
